Refund policy

At House of Youth (HOY), we want you to genuinely love what you receive. Every piece is crafted using premium fabrics and detailed embroidery, and we do multiple checks before dispatch.

Because our products are soft furnishings (and in some cases made-to-order / handled closely), we’re currently unable to offer refunds or open returns for “change of mind”. This helps us maintain hygiene standards and ensure every customer receives products in fresh, perfect condition.

If something is wrong, we’ll make it right

If your order arrives with:

  • a manufacturing defect, or
  • damage during transit, or
  • the wrong item

…we will gladly offer an exchange or replacement.

✅ Please reach out to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve it quickly.

How to raise a request (takes 2 minutes)

  • Order ID
  • Clear photos/video showing the issue
  • Unboxing video (recommended) for transit damage / wrong item claims

Our team typically responds within 1–2 working days.

Eligibility for exchange/replacement

To qualify, the item must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and in original condition
  • Returned with original packaging, tags, and inserts (if any)

Once we verify the issue, we’ll arrange the next steps (reverse pickup where serviceable, or we’ll guide you with a simple return process).

What isn’t covered

We’re always fair, but a few cases are not eligible:

  • Change of mind / personal preference
  • Minor differences that can happen due to lighting or handcrafted finishing (small placement variations, slight color shifts)
  • Damage after delivery due to use, washing, stains, pets, cuts, etc.
  • Requests raised after 48 hours
  • Customised/personalised products, unless they arrive defective or damaged

If the same item is unavailable

If an approved replacement isn’t available due to stock limitations, we will offer:

  • store credit, or
  • an alternative product of equal value

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch. Once shipped, cancellation isn’t possible.
